This screen shows the apparent impedance plots of the SEL-121G relay event report. The graphics show the zone(s) reach as well as the MTA settings of the relay .
Here we see that a fault has occurred well within zone 3 reach of the relay. This fault has an obvious resistive component, (the fault moves along the horizontal axis).
